MISS RODEO LENOX

Hello Everyone!

My last appearance was at the Tri State Rodeo in Fort Madison and the Miss Rodeo Iowa Pageant.  I also competed for the title of Miss Rodeo Iowa 2010.  There were five MRI contestants and five MTRI contestants.  All the girls were amazing, I'm so glad I wasn't a judge!  Congratulations to Jordanne Blair for winning the MRI title and to Hannah Hilsabeck for winning the MTRI title.  If you have never met these two ladies, make sure to put it on your "to do" list.  They are both amazing ladies and very deserving of their newly earned titles.  I would also like to say congratulations to my pageant roommate, Heidi Gansen who was the Miss Rodeo Iowa First Runner Up and to Rachel Burgren who was second runner up.  I was very honored that the contestants gave me the title of Miss Congeniality. 

After coronation I stepped into my Miss Rodeo Lenox attire and headed to the rodeo.  If you have never been to the Tri State Rodeo, you are truly missing out on an interesting time, especially the grand entry.  I gathered with the other queens to do a gueens run along with being in the grand entry.  I found out that my new horse, Boon, who doesn't have very much rodeo experience did not like all the commotion of the grand entry.  He tried his hardest to get me off of his back and into the dirt.  Thankfully I stayed on and made it through safe and sound although I can't say that for some of the other riders.  There were about five or six cowboys and cowgirls that ate some dirt during the grand entry.  It is a sight that must be seen!  After the grand entry, mom and I started our long drive back to Corning.
